I found this meme question on a blog and it intrigued me:
"What are five things I want my kids to know before they grow up?"
Here are my top 5...
1. The love of Jesus Christ. It is so hard to grasp the concept of Christ's love for us and that is the one power that gets me through everyday.
2. Believe in yourself. You will go through many storms, but if you believe in yourself, you can see through the storm and look for the sunshine on the other side. Think about it, storms move through so fast, just hold steady and you can soon continue what you were doing before it rained down.
3. Whatever is before you is a gift from God. Use it for His will in your life.
4. Don't follow the peer pressure. I know, first hand, the devastation of peer pressure. I gave in everyday, just to be liked by someone, just to make someone happy. Little did I realize at the time that none of that would matter now. I am now living the consequences of the peer pressure and wish that I could go back and change those decisions. I want my children to realize the most important thing is preparing a strong future for their children.
5. Our love for you. This can go along with #4. We love you so much and want to lead you into the future with respect, responsibility and love. You are so delicate right now and we want to show you how to grow and develop into true followers of Jesus Christ.
