A Day in the Life of.....Tami

Ok, here it is some tidbits about my day and what I have been up to. About 9 months ago, my neighbor approached me about helping her dad out with "peg" boards. I followed up with her dad and he set me up to work out of our home putting resistors, capacitors, diodes, etc. in circuit boards. So it began, I set up a home business through the city of Rock Hill and the adventure started. Now don't get me wrong, the money is wonderful, the time it takes to put these together is excruciating. Here is a picture of what the set of boards I do look like...

The top board is what I get in my "kit" and there are 25 boards in each kit. I add the pieces that are in the boxes to the boards until they look like the completed board (bottom board). This example is a very nice board, there are fewer pieces than normal and the boards are bigger. The boards that I turned in on Monday were about half the size of these and were completely covered with pieces. Those were excruciating! In the end though, the money has allowed us to go on Spring Break, buy some new furniture, and enjoy activities that we normally get to do.
My normal days consists of waking up, enjoying a cup of coffee (a new found love), reading a devotion, then waking up Colin and Caleb for school. Once I get back from taking them to school, I feed Chloe and Caden and sort the laundry for my one load a day. I try to clean up whatever might need to be done and get Caden ready to take a nap. He usually sleeps from 11a-2p so that leaves me about 2 hours to sit down with the boards. About 1 o'clock, I get lunch ready for us and wait for Caden to wake up and then I feed him. We leave the house around 2:30 to pick up the boys from school and then I spend the next 2-3 hours breaking up sibling fights and helping with homework. Also during this time I start to prepare dinner and get the kids ready for which ever child has ball practice, Colin on Tuesday's and Caleb on Thursday's. In the evenings, Rob and I try hard to put the kids to bed by 8p so we can have a couple of hours together. This time is usually spent with me working on the boards and him doing his work. Oh well, at least we are together!!
There is a taste of most of my days!

There is something very familiar about this post for me, minus the boards. I teach piano instead. And I love the family picture! Guys with gray hair rock!
