So, I did something I normally would never do because of having children at home. But, I hired a babysitter last Friday and went on a field trip to Carowinds Theme Park with Colin and his 5th grade class. His teacher was short on chaperones, so I volunteered most of my day to ride fun roller coasters with 3 - 11 year old boys. I did have a great time and it was fun not to worry about the 2 youngest kids being bored while we rode "grown-up" coasters.

Yes, Colin does have some "girl" friends. The one in the middle with the red shorts really likes him. It was a very good day and I know the kids really enjoyed themselves. Colin was very tired after a full day of theme park fun. Let me add that we have season passes to Carowinds, so we frequent this park often during the summer, just not for whole days. We usually spend 2-3 hours there during the week and sometimes on weekends.
