The news of a fellow church member of mine from Wakarusa Missionary Church came to Rock Hill, SC yesterday. Travis Hunsberger was killed in active duty with the Green Berets by an IED in Afghanistan on Friday. Although I have not been in Indiana or to my home church for over 2 years, my childhood memories of Travis flooded back in my memory. And although I did not know him as an adult, the articles I have read from the news since his passing are amazing to me. I know that he is at the right hand of Jesus right now and hopefully asking for a peace to be with his family and friends during this very difficult time. My family also lifts up prayers to Steve and Ronda, Kyle and Kelsey and also his wife. How hard it must be to feel the hurt of losing a loved one at a young age. Only God can give you the peace to believe that he is safe and in his Heavenly Fathers care.
