The Dog Days of Summer

The "dog days of summer" are among us. School is starting in 3 & 4 days, the schedules are quickly filling up. My softball season is over, Rob's is still in regular season and soon to be tournament. Then I found out this week that there will be a fall woman's volleyball season and a co-ed softball season with our church may start soon too. YEAH! Well, yeah to the volleyball, I love playing volleyball!

So, the busyness starts and the routine of school and activities will again need to be coordinated. I realized this week what my days will be like. I will leave the house at 7:20 to take Caleb to school, get back to the house around 7:45, get Colin and Chloe ready then we will leave around 8:15 to take Colin to school. I will then take Chloe to her preschool by 9. Return home with Caden for 2 hours, then go back and pick-up Chloe at 12, eat lunch, pick-up Caleb at 2:25, and then Colin at 3:30. So, somewhere in there I will get Caden to nap and maybe find some other families to carpool with, otherwise, I will have to find a job just to pay for the gas I will be going through.

September is also a very busy month for us too! Caden's 2nd birthday is Sept. 18th, Colin's 12th birthday is Sept. 28th, that same weekend, Rob has inventory at work which lasts all weekend long, and Chloe's 5th birthday is Oct. 3rd. Wow...I will be swimming in chaos for a little while!

I will give out another holler when I get my head out of the water!

good luck with the start of the new school year! (ah, for the good old days when kids could just get on the school bus and go!)
