We had a great weekend! It started with us finding out that Rob now has to work only every third Saturday and he got this weekend off. So he has not worked a Saturday for like a month now. I really enjoy having him home on Saturday's so this was a sweet treat for us. We ended up doing yard work on Saturday morning. I touched a lawn mower for the first time since I moved out of mom & dad's 9 years ago. I have a good friend, R, who mows her yard all the time, so I think she was a little impressed that I finally mowed, a little. After that, R's husband, D, took Caleb and Chloe to Carowinds and Rob met them with Colin a little later, so I got to stay behind and give Caden a nap and enjoy a quiet house. That evening we went to R and D's for dinner and let the kids play hard for a while. Then we came home and watched Michael Phelps start his gold medal journey! GO MICHAEL!!
Today the boys had a birthday party, so Rob, Caden and Chloe took a nap while I did more research for Rob's family vacation next year. We found the lake that we want to keep visiting, we are just looking for a place that really fits the whole family comfortably. We then took Chloe and Caden swimming and met up with the boys after the party at our friends house for a little bit.
Now, I am patiently awaiting another gold medal night for Michael Phelps and watching the girl's gymnastics. (I have a hard time calling this event women's gymnastics when none of the females competing are out of their teens!)
